Certain creatures who have adapted to living in or near the sea are intrinsically comfortable in water. The racial ability to swim grants a number of bonuses to players while they are in the water; most notable is an increased resistance to drowning.
This racial is innate and will be automatic once confronted with a watery situation, nothing needs to be typed to initiate it.
