"The commander from Wildwood and D-- ...Saerba plan to combine their forces to take control of Midgaard. The commander does not want to rule, he only wants support to protect his woods from Tannah's influence." The thief laughs at this, a harsh tone in his voice.
"No one can protect them from her. No one. Mark my words - that witch will be a thorn in all our sides if not controlled. But that is another day..."
"Tell me more" the thief continues, smiling softly.
The man takes a breath before continuing. "It would seem that Saerba is... willing to pay attention again." "Oh?" the thief asks, his interest finally showing.
"She doesn't just want to get you out of Midgaard. She wants to rule it." The master thief pauses, considering.
"So... the Elves want to stop living in fantasies and start living in the real world again?" the thief asks, while looking down at a knife blade in his hands, fingering it idly.
The other man nods, looking uncomfortable at the thief's knife play. He chooses not to acknowledge it. "It would seem so. Further, she is of mind to ask for the support of mortals. With that, plus the help of the Wildwood inhabitants - they might pose a problem."
A figure steps out from the shadows.
"All problems can be solved" Moordenaar replies, standing next to the master thief. "Who says the mortals will agree to help them? People can be bought, you know, with shiny treasures and promises of a better future." He chuckles, looking at the informant.
"Go back to your people before they notice your absence. You can still be of use to us. Be our eyes, our ears."
The man nods, stepping out back into the alley. He absentmindedly pats a black cat on the head before walking away.
