Years ago when disk space was at a premium both space and cost wise, the system automatically purged pfiles if not logged in for a certain amount of time.
Thankfully, disks are now cheaper and bigger so it is no longer necessary to automatically purge characters.
It is sometimes possible to get a purged character recreated. Characters that purged because of jailing or similar punishment are ineligible for recreation.
We limit each person to one pfile recreation due to the number of this type of request received.
Please provide as much of the following information as possible:
- Character name
- Timeframe during which the character existed
- Timeframe during which the character was purged
- Character's race
- Character's class
- Character's approximate level i.e. lowmort, Hero or Lord.
Only characters that we have found sufficient evidence of as being your character will be recreated.
The records used date back to 2000, we may have problems verifying characters that existed and purged in 1999 or earlier.
Because this is a pfile recreation, not a restoration from backup, you will not receive any of the character's original gear back.
