I know it's easier said than done but, make melee fighting more focused and not so automatic. Impliment sword forms and different techniques for different kinds of weapons. Make melee classes actually work for their damage. I like the idea of blade masters and taking certain routes to become better at your weapon of choice. mages are somewhat lacking when it comes to group contribution as a hitter, esp in groups with quick kills, as their melee are woeful esp. considering most mages are non brute races, so rather than look to upping damage on spells/mellee as a solution, how about a skill/spell that can temporarily embue the mages weapons, so when they hit a mob (chance of firing, not always) subsequent attacks agains that

how about a skill/spell that can temp. embue the mages weapons so when they hit a mob (chance of firing) not always, subsequent attacks (Melee only?) against that mob, for that round/fight are boosted by a % dam wise
