On AVATAR, we have a rather unique group of players called heroes. Heroes are those individuals who have attained level 51 and while they are still considered mortal under AVATAR rules, they command much more power than players of levels 1-50.
The Hero tier contains 999 sub-levels through which your character will continue to grow by learning a plethora of new skills and spells. While the Hero game is lengthy in terms of the number of sub-levels, the enhanced power of Hero characters increases the speed of the game considerably. Additionally, the tier provides a lot of adventuring variety with over 60 Hero areas. Elite Hero areas are the newest addition to the tier and offer greater experience and treasure in exchange for a greater challenge.
Heroes have no set role within AVATAR society; rather, it is what they make of it. Some heroes choose to use their strength to help other players with corpse retrievals and various sundry requests. Other heroes enjoy running quests. Still others avoid involvement with the lower levels and instead focus on attaining more power. Every Hero plays the game differently and as long as they operate within the rules of Avatar they are welcome to do so.
A superhero in the realm of AVATAR is any Hero that has attained sub-level 500. Once a character has reached this level there are two options available to him that previously were not. Characters sub-level 500 and higher have the ability to MORPH into a LORD and may now face the ULTIMATE DRAGON. Be warned though, attempting to morph before sub-level 999 carries a degree of risk and the penalty for failure leaves heroes farther from their goal than before they tried to morph.
